Bespoke Make-up Artistry, Education, Design & Media for a global skintone palette. Xabier Celaya is a London based freelance make-up artist working in the Fashion, Music, T.V. & Film Media. With a diverse skills portfolio including everthing from Airbrushing, Bodypainting and Special Effects, he is a well rounded artist that is always looking to combine his talents. Originally trained in Performing Arts he gained an insight of not only the performer’s needs but also those of the team supporting them. Having experience in mediums such as costume, set design and especially lighting design led him to arrive on Make-up Artistry. As a self taught artist, he was fortunate to begin his career by gaining an invaluable education by assisting established artists, from extremely diverse fields. Working at Charles Fox, Professional Make-Up suppliers he learnt the diversity that is required as an artist. Five years later a move to the M.A.C PRO division of M.A.C. Cosmetics, he broadened his fashion career. His background and experience in artistry consultancy, has enabled him to work in areas such as media relations, product development, artistry training & managing budgets and troubleshooting. Now freelance Xabier enjoys working collaboratively with new people and constantly expanding his horizons by accepting and constructing new creative challenges.
