Francisco Javier Fernández Polo

I am a lecturer and researcher in English at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), where I teach general English, English for research purposes and Spanish translation. My research interests cover many subjects, with a preference for applied linguistics topics, including translation, FLT and the new technologies and, more recently, English as a lingua franca in academic contexts like conferences, student video-mediated talk and student discussion forums.

Do you wanna know more about me? Well, I love nature activities, traveling, reading, photography, cooking... (not necessarily in this order!). I hate narrow-mindedness, both people and nature abuse, and fanaticism.
