A veteran educational professional, Xavier Romano brings an extensive portfolio spanning nearly three-decades of experience to his role as principal of X.E.Romano Consultancy, which works with a range of clients who are seeking to enhance the student collegiate experience. The firm works with a range of clients – from liberal arts colleges to state universities – to identify and work with existing resources to increase student outcomes via student satisfaction, multicultural and international student recruitment and retention strategies, personnel development and a review of personnel and services to promote enhanced student outcomes. X.E.Romano Consultancy works with both United States and international institutions.
Xavier Romano earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and his master’s degree in education administration with a focus on higher education at Santa Clara University. Additionally, Romano received grant funding to attend the Harvard Graduate School of Education Institute for Educational Management. Romano received a Fulbright Scholarship to Germany where he focused on student services and outcomes in the university sector. Romano was funded by the British Council where he undertook a review of residential education at Catholic institutions of higher education Liverpool, Leeds, London & Oxford.
While selectively pursuing consultancy work, Xavier Romano has spent seventeen years as Vice President for Student Development & Dean of Students at Knox (11.5 years) and Holy Names College’s and presently serves as director of the Fresno Campus of Alliant International University.
An active figure in higher education, Mr. Romano has served on the board of directors for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), Hispanic Caucus of the former American Association for Higher Education and presently is an active board member with ARTE AMERICAS: CASA DE CULTURA CULTURAL CENTER, Central California’s largest Latino cultural arts foundation and center located in Fresno, CA.
