Xavier Vilalta

Architect, designer and enterpreneur.
His work focuses on the connection of nature and people thinking about our contemporary urban life as part of the environment where Architecture grows from the local conditions and traditions.
He studied Architecture between the School of Architecture of Barcelona and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Since 2004, he combines practice with teaching and lecturing in cultural institutions and venues and has worked with his team in over 50 projects worldwide.
His work has been recognized by international awards and has been published in national and international journals.
In 2011 he was named Fellow by the TED foundation, making him the first Spanish to receive this award and lecture at the anual conference in California.
