Born in Barcelona, Spain. B.A. in Audiovisual Communication (Media Studies) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and M.A. in Cultural Management from the Universidad Carlos III (UC3M, Madrid). Professional experience as Arts Administrator at the Instituto Cervantes Bruselas (Brussels, Belgium) and the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C., as Cultural Affairs Officer for SPAIN arts & culture, the official Spanish cultural program in the United States.

From 2011 through 2016, he coordinated cultural projects across the U.S., partnering with the most prestigious institutions and festivals (including the National Gallery of Art, Kennedy Center, American Film Institute, Smithsonian, MOLAA Museum of Latin American Art, FotoWeekDC, etc.). He also designed comprehensive communication and digital marketing strategies for SPAIN arts & culture.

Back in Spain, he crafted communication strategies and content for the Fundació Joan Miró, a center for the study and dissemination of Joan Miró’s work and contemporary art, developed international projects for the Madrid-based public art collective mmmm..., and produced the 3rd Culture and Ruralities Forum and 5th Culture and Citizenship Conferencefor Spain's Ministry of Culture.

Since April 2020, Xavier developed cultural projects and art exhibitions at the Inter-American Development Bank's Creativity and Culture Unit. He currently coordinates visual arts, design and architecture projects a the Institut Ramon Llull, a public institution that promotes Catalan language and culture abroad.
