Xiaoshu (Sunny) Du

Xiaoshu (Sunny) Du was born in Chengdu, China. She is currently a graduate student at University of Pennsylvania, studying for her Master of Environmental Studies. She was graduated from Iowa State University in Winter 2012 with Bachelor of Architecture, double-majored in both Architecture and Environmental Studies. She looks forward to pursuing a career in green building design. She is also working on getting LEED certificated. Xiaoshu started her interests on environmental issues when she volunteered at Chengdu Panda Base. She then applied her dream of sustainability on a series of building and community designs. She was trilled to have an opportunity at Human Impacts Institute on the building retrofit project, in which she can not only perfectly combine her two majors together but also applied her knowledge in the real world.

She enjoys art and creativity. She started painting and playing piano at the age of 4 and she is the gold medal winner of 11th and silver medal winner of 10th Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for World Peace in Paris and Cairo.
