I obtained my bachelor degree in business translation in of Finance & Economics. She might not be a prestigious university but I am indebted to her for the great people I met there. I did some part-time jobs during my two-year stay in . I worked as translator, proof-reader and teaching assistant. These allowed me to learned more about and made me want to stay. I didn’t really teach as an assistant but I know how the institution arrange course. Basically I helped the students with their homework and made sure they recite the allocated vocabularies. The students are those who want to study abroad and to pass the TOEFL, SAT and IELTS, etc.
It has been three week since I entered CityU. I am astonished by the atmosphere in this university especially that in the library. There are plenty of seats but almost all of them are occupied and you can see the students are concentrating on their study. And there are lots of activities one can take part in. The books are well-arranged so I can always run directly to the self and get them other than walking in the area not knowing where do the books go, which happens frequently in …
I don’t have a specific career plan yet. I passed China Accreditation Test for Traneslators and Interpreters III this summer. Translating is what I would like to take up but I don’t see I have deep understanding in a specific field. I hope I can learn how to write during my stay here. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy lots of different things. I am generous with time spent in watching dramas and films, hahahahaha~ Thrillers and suspense movies are my preferences. Books also entertain me. ZOOwritten by the Japanese writer Otsuichi is what I recommend the most. And I am so addicted to music that I can’t bear a day without my earphones. The beauty lies in the lyrics is one of the drives that propel me in studying various languages.
