Xinyu Xu

She is an image practitioner, a feminist, currently based in London.

Her practice focuses on taking herself as a person, as a woman growing up in East Asia. Experiencing the place and form of identity in politics, in nature. Problematising and mystifying these private experiences and infusing them into the work. Through the image as a tool, an invisible weapon, an erotic, non-gendered, non-maternalised fantasy territory is being shaped.
