Today, I'm CTO at Generation, a global non-profit organization (NGO) working to create employment opportunities for young people, and for those displaced by economic change.

I'm a software engineer focused on web and mobile, and my deepest speciality is all the fun that can happen in the client/browser. But I rarely get to write code these days. ;-(

More often lately, I'm focused on helping organizations transform themselves for the digital era: Team, Culture, Tools & Practices. I have the privilege to do that via a big, fancy-pants management-consulting firm named McKinsey. They're really great people and I love working there. We're like a startup accelerator, using open-source tech, but for big organizations.

I also dabble in writing, and teaching other people how to do that web stuff. I speak at some tech conferences.

I hail originally from Hilton, NY. I was recently in Manhattan for four years, have spent a lot of time in DC, and now live in Geneva, Switzerland.

I have a thing for residential architecture and design that I indulge via pinning and self-destructive renovation projects. I love to play Ultimate. (But not lately.) I play Go now and again. I travel rather a lot.
