Xavier Monzó

Professional with more than 15 years experience within the IT sector, has a deep knowledge of IT innovation and IT business development management. Since 2006 Xavier Monzó has been the Managing Director at GRUPO ICA – Informática y Comunicaciones Avanzadas in Catalunya Market, with the goal of developing the Company and adding-value to its Portfolio. Nowadays GRUPO ICA in Catalunya is formed by more than 80 employees and has consolidated four business units: software solutions, networking and security IT solutions, IT services and IT Innovation-new products. GRUPO ICA achieves a strong relationship with customers in both the private and public sector, and is currently running R+D projects involving a budget of 15 MM €. His professional activity began at GRUPO AIA, an Innovation IT company, where he was in charge of banking solutions, working with the most important banks in Spain, achieving a big improvement in number of customers and number of products. He then held the position of COO –Chief Operations Officer-, helping the internationalization and new-developing IT Innovation solutions for other Markets. Born in Terrassa (Barcelona) ; Xavier Monzó is a Computer Science Engineer by the Universitat Autònoma de Catalunya (UAB), MBA by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and graduate by IESE (Universidad de Navarra) in PDD. He also holds a Master in Information-Knowledge Society and a PhD degree (DEA) in Market-Analysis and e-Commerce by UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya)
