I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of seemingly different worlds: music and math, finance and social impact, brand and technology. Over time, I’ve realized the common thread is a fascination with systems—how they work, where they break, and how they can be re-architected for better performance.
This worldview was first shaped through music. As an all-national classical saxophonist, I learned that creativity thrives within complex structures. This journey led me to play jazz with Wynton Marsalis and train with the renowned virtuoso Frederick Hemke at Northwestern University, where a lifelong love for philosophy also took root.
On Wall Street, at investment banks like Oppenheimer and Maxim Group, I learned to view every business function as a system with measurable inputs and a clear ROI. This perspective led me to found an alternative energy hedge fund, and eventually, to walk into Cornwall Capital of "The Big Short" fame and share my 'big long'—a deep analysis of how an obscure company called Tesla was about to systemically change the world.
But building systems isn't a theoretical exercise. As a 4x founder, the ultimate test of this thinking came when I co-founded a 501(c)(3) in Sierra Leone. We didn't just provide aid; we built a sustainable healthcare system from the ground up. Our two clinics treated 20,000 people, educated 30,000 mothers, and screened 200,000 children for malnutrition before we integrated our operations with our partner, Partners in Health.
Today, I apply that same systems-thinking to the most powerful and underleveraged asset in business: brand.
As the Co-Founder and CEO of Disyl & Rad, I architect AI-powered Brand Operating Systems (BrandOS). We transform dusty, static "brand bibles" into living, intelligent engines that drive measurable growth. This approach has powered major brand evolutions for industry leaders such as Wayfair, Ashley Global, Casetify, and Displays2Go. It's the culmination of my life's work: seeing the entire system, from financial ROI to human impact, and building a better one.
My greatest inspiration comes from raising my two sons, Mercutio and Medici. They fuel my passion for lifelong learning, whether it's through reading, a game of chess, or on the soccer pitch.
