Yagirl April
The theme of my life from 12 years old until now has been the progression of my people; Black people. I am a descendant of an African prisoner of war, a Native American, and a stranger. I have chosen, with help from my upbringing and the shamefulness that goes along with growing up Black in America, to answer to Black woman. That's correct. I am Black even before I am woman. There is not enough room on this page to chronicle my accomplishments, failures, conquests, defeats, genius, and outright stupidity on occasions. So, I will not. Let it suffice for now to say that you may see me on the televised version of the war or you may see my print on a resulting victory. There have been times when anonymity is my name, those critical times when someone must do it, but only one has the courage. I am THAT girl. It is a hardknock life, But life hits like a bitch!
