I am interested in the way the international economic system protects non-economic values. At the moment, I am conducting research on the field of WTO law and the way it protects Human Rights. It is with this project that I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
I am also keen on public policy analysis. Currently, I work at Ethos Public Policy Lab, as the legal leader of the team on Public Private Partnerships (PPP), researching and publishing on PPP frameworks and laws.
As an attorney, I am of counsel to Wöss & Partners, S.C., advising on antidumping proceedings.

I hold an LL.M. in Public International Law, (awarded “with Distinction”, 2010), by Queen Mary, University of London. In 2009-2010, I was a Chevening scholar under the auspices of the British Government. In 2007, I obtained my Bachelor of Laws (Licenciado en Derecho), at ITAM, in Mexico City.
From 2011-2014, I was Editor to the Revista de Derecho Económico Internacional and researcher at Centro de Derecho Económico Internacional (ITAM), both efforts sustained with the generous support of the WTO Chairs Program. I also have worked as an attorney and consultant on legal matters.
I have published in both English and Spanish, in matters regarding international trade and public policy. I have been a speaker on international conferences (in Mexico, Argentina, Switzerland -at the WTO headquarters-, and in London at the 15th Annual WTO Conference).

I foresee myself in the future performing cutting-edge research that can improve the quality of life of both, my local and the global community. I also expect to keep advocating for free trade with sensitivity to non-economic values. Likewise, I want to design and advise on public policies that can have a positive impact in the way business are done.
