Hi, I’m Yair Glick (Ph.D.), SpacePharma's Director of Research.
What does SpacePharma do?
SpacePharma enables clients to send sophisticated nano-labs into space, with the ability to control their projects online.
SpacePharma platform target global players in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, material/chemical science, and nutrition industries and provide them with the opportunity to accelerate breakthrough discovery processes by the space environment.
So, what do I do at Space Pharma?
I have the privilege of working directly under Yossi Yamin, SpacePharma Founder&CEO
I'm managing a multidisciplinary team of biologists, chemists and engineers developing Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC) based miniaturized lab for tissue engineering + drug development applications (5 direct reports), and work closely with SW and HW engineers, Product Managers and System Configuration architects.
In this capacity I’m responsible on:
· Managing the full development cycle, from scientific requirements definition, through engineering (both SW and HW) capabilities and limitation until product testing and till customer technical support.
· Understanding customer requirements and providing sales support. Prepare and deliver presentations explaining the platform capabilities to customers and prospective customers. Plan and modify products to meet customer needs.
· Protocol and grant writing (H2020, NIH, IIA, etc.)
· Working alongside C-level, board members, and investors, providing leadership, project management, and direction to achieve long-term strategic goals and objectives.
A bit about my academic background:
· I’m a proficient biologist, LOC specialist, and tissue engineer, experienced in leading R&D projects.
· I have extensive experience in molecular biology, immunology, and microfluidics. In addition, I have vast experience in cutting edge technologies such as high-throughput screening, robotics, 3D printing, and microfabrication in cleanrooms
· My expertise is microfluidics and LOC technologies. I design, develop and use LOC's platforms for biological applications. During my Ph.D. I published multiple peer review articles in different areas. You can click the button above to view my portfolio.

I’m a fast learner, innovative, problem-solver, and enjoy dealing with challenges. I enjoy working with other people and eager to learn something new every day.
In addition, I enjoy reading a good book or running 10 km in the fresh air.
