Yale is currently a graduate student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the Department of Mental Health. She is also a researcher at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her current research involves parenting behaviors/stress and family environment/structure in the context of children's aggressive and disruptive behaviors among patients with severe mental health disorders at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Her goal is to extend this topic towards further child clinical psychology & CBT/family therapy research.
Current research interests: Children's Mental Health, Obesity-Nutrition Research, Maternal & Child Behavioral Health, Nutritional Counseling, Parenting Behaviors/Parent Feeding Behaviors, Child Eating Behaviors, Healthy Eating Promotion, Nutrition Education
Yale received her MS in Human Nutrition from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons at the Institute of Human Nutrition. During this time, her researched was conducted at St. Luke's Hospital in New York, NY at the NY Obesity Nutrition Research Center with her mentor, Dr. Susan Carnell, PhD (Clinical Psychology).
Yale received her BS in Human Biology, Health & Society from Cornell University College of Human Ecology. Her undergraduate research was done within the Department of Design & Environmental Analysis with her mentor, Dr. Lorraine Maxwell, PhD (Environmental Psychology).
