Yami Gopal

I am a 34 year old agile coach, crossfit practitioner and a guitar and sitar player with a strong passion in music, fitness, technology and startup culture. I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and I have specialized in intelligent control systems.

I have over 11 years of information technology industry experience as a tech consultant, technical project manager, technical lead and an entrepreneur. I have consulted in the IT departments of various industries such as Supply chain and distribution, finance, packaging, publishing, retail and entertainment/media. Some of my significant contribtions have been at clients such as Disney, Ingram Micro, Talbots, Cashcall and Fedex Kinkos. I have been instrumental in setting up the foundation for some social networking web aplications at Disney such as www.family.com and www.familyfun.com. I have lived most of my adult life in Los Angeles where I had the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities including acting, crossfit and improv comedy. This is where I underwent a personal transformation from a shy geeky individual to an extroverted social fitness buff.

I am aso a regular contributor to the keystotheheart.org inititative in Los Angeles that focuses on teaching autistic kids string instruments and percussion.

I am a big fan of personal development and look up to motivational heroes such as Tony Robbins, Napolean HIll, Eckhart Tolle and Eliot Hulse.
