Yamikani Kaitano

Yamikani Kaitano is an independent artist, producer, and owner of his own brand and label, No Room for Negative Vibes Recordings, based in Blantyre, Malawi. He makes music across trap, electronic, pop, experimental, rock, gospel, and Christian inspirational sounds — and more. Raised on a wide mix of genres since childhood, Yamikani fell in love with music early and set out to make his own: a way to fully express himself, share a message, and contribute something positive to the world. That mission is baked into everything he releases and gave his label its name — no room for negative vibes.
Yamikani is entirely self-taught, learning production through YouTube tutorials and building his sound in Soundtrap, FL Studio, and BandLab. His early work was built on YouTube beats; over time he moved into producing from scratch in FL Studio and layering samples into full original instrumentals. Every track is self-produced and self-mixed under his own label — and while the polish is still a work in progress, the passion behind it isn't. He's proud of what he creates independently, one song at a time.
At the core of his music is a message of hope, faith, and inspiration — above all, pointing back to God, who created us all. Drawing from a wide range of influences united by that same positive, faith-driven spirit, Yamikani writes music meant to uplift.
In 2026 alone, he released two full albums under No Room for Negative Vibes Recordings: Don't Want to Be Blinded by the World (The Lost Files of NRNV Edition) and Us Kids (Deluxe Edition). Some tracks on the first album were originally released on earlier profiles and have since been properly re-released now that his platforms are fully set up. More is on the way, including an upcoming project called Brain Project. Yamikani shares his music on SoundCloud, YouTube, and other platforms, and continues connecting and collaborating with fellow artists from school, home, and beyond.
