Please meet me at The 110th Explorers Club Annual Dinner in NYC, I'm glad to be on the organizing committee and excited that ECAD this year will honor Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos as our awardees! I came from Xi'an, China, the capital of the ancient empire. My name means the Sun in Chinese, I love the ocean and summer. I always stay up too late and read too much :) I believe in the power of young people, the renaissance of visionary venture investing, and the emerging of conscious capitalism. I'm working as a scientst and CEO's management trainee at an Inc. 5000 pharmaceutical company. Previously, I worked for a hedge fund and a boutique financial advisory firm in New York City as an intern. In my spare time, I've been traveling a lot and working with many awesome entrepreneurs and investors. I'm serving as Vice President of MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF), a MIT-based venture club to connect the best entrepreneurs, innovators and investors in America and greater China area. In 2012 and 2013, I was the convener of Social Impact, Philanthropy and the Chinese Diaspora Unconference at Hillary Clinton's Global Diaspora Forum held in the US. State Department. I'm also an active member of The World Economic Forum Global Shapers and The Explorers Club in New York. Before I came to America in 2009, I spent my gap year backpacking and working as an AIESEC volunteer in Indonesia, where I was an active volcano climber and also started some meaningful educational & environmental development projects in East Java Island.
