Pfimbi Yangu

Harare, Zimbabwe

I will no longer live in this world like a lodger, like I have another earth, another Africa, another Zimbabwe to go to if this one burns.

I am a citizen of my country, a small but important piece of my people, a part of history...

When tomorrow talks about today, about my generation - they will be referring to me, to us.

When the history books are written, they will feature me and us

I refuse to be part of a story about inaction and apathy.

I am tired of standing in the corner and feeling small like my thoughts, my voice and my action did not matter - because they do.

I am going to stand up, speak out, act out.

The revolution of this day I live in will be blogged.

These are my chronicles.

Proudly Zimbabwean!
