Hallsworth Fellow in Political Economy of Innovation and Social Change. Awarded 'Outstanding Academic of the Year 2009' by Manchester Business School. Researching innovation, policy, development, governance, sustainability, responsibility, knowledge dynamics, and their intersections with special interest in the context of emerging economies and infant democracies. Latest researches include Combining Foresight and Network Analysis, Evaluation of Funding Scheme in the EU, Social Media and Civil Society in Indonesia. Supervises PhDs and MScs in the fields of responsible innovation, knowledge management and service organisations, innovation and social capital, ICT for development, social movement, and civil society.

Married to Dominika Oktavira Arumdati with two children Diandra Aruna Mahira and Linggar Nara Sindhunata.

Loves batik, books, food, and music - particularly classic and baroque. Plays pipe organ.
