Yaodi Wang
Yaodi Wang is a web specialist with more than 5 years’ experience in managing multilingual websites at the international level. She was a key member of the small team that engineered UN’s new collaboration website launched in June 2013. This project included: a complete new design (new information architecture, online branding and Web strategy), the implementation of a new Content Management System (CMS), and the creation of a Web Governance Framework together with guidelines and policies for publishing content online. With her support, UN’s online community increased 400% strong multilingual social media presence worldwide.
Ms. Wang has ten years track record of progressively responsible experience in content management, digital strategic communications at the international level, including managing operations of information technology to make sure that web content delivering the desired level of excellence for the organization, and designing, monitoring and evaluating complex online media programmes. Her professional expertise extends to graphic designs, Google analytics, crisis communications, public information and media relations. She has worked for the United Nations in New York office. Prior to that, she worked for the Sina Media as Website Manager in Shanghai.
She coordinates digital advocacy campaigns, established Unite Connections' corporate blog and supports training for UN senior managers and staff in the use of social media for outreach and advocacy purposes.
Ms. Wang is a Chinese national. She holds a Master of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, US and a Bachelor of Engineering from Dong Hua University in China.
