Yara is a recent Law graduate. Throughout law school she's had the privilege of working under excellent attorneys in family law, civil rights, and criminal defense in Missouri or Kansas.

Before law school, Yara worked with first generation immigrant and refugee youth. Having experienced growing up in a conflict zone as a child herself, she continues to work with youth who've also had their own childhoods touched by fear and persecution. This upbringing has made Yara committed to advocating for the dignity, equity, and rights of every human life regardless of background, faith, race, or identity.

In her free time, she enjoys reading poetry (favorites are by Kahlil Gibran).
