Yaron Assa

Software Engineer and data tester in Melbourne

I've grown from traditional test-automation to load and api testing and general automation projects (with a side-dish of dev-ops), before refocusing on automation in data validation, profiling and testing.

I code mainly in python (pyspark), NodeJS (typescript), and SQL, but can find my way around C# and Scala as well.

My current work mostly involves writing specific, custom code for custom data validation tasks and automation; but I've also worked extensively with mainstream frameworks and tools such as Behave, CucumberJS, PollyJS, Selenium, mocha; as well as some genetic tools and frameworks (samtools, bedtools, vcfEval and custom genetics validation and benchmarking code).

I love finding workarounds and tweaks, and I use them as inspiration and drive in my everyday work.

Besides work, I'm an avid supporter of science-based skepticism and critical thinking projects.
