Yasmin Abadian
Yasmin Abadian moved to Montgomery County, MD with her family in 1966 when her father joined the World Bank. She grew up in Bethesda, attending Carderock Springs Elementary, Cabin John Jr. High and graduating from Winston Churchill High School. In 1976, she moved to Los Angeles where she attended UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology. While at UCLA, she worked with the physically and mentally challenged as well as in cardiac rehab ... most notably at the Pritikin Center in Santa Monica.
Yasmin moved back to the DC area in 1981 and pursued a career in health and fitness; unfortunately, in the 80's, there weren't many options in healthcare without a medical degree and she had been quite disillusioned with the medical profession and its emphasis on medicine rather than prevention. So, in 1983 Yasmin began her career in business ... a retail store in downtown Bethesda. In 1986, Yasmin gave birth to identical twin girls and as a consequence, sold her business to spend more time with her girls. When they turned 3, Yasmin decided to get back into the business world... choosing Real Estate with it's flexible hours.
Yasmin truly loves the Real Estate profession. With her background in counseling as well as her experience in business and marketing, she has been able to combine two fields that she enjoys. Yasmin feels that part of her job is not only to market homes, but to also help the client through the sometimes stressful process of buying and/or selling a home (usually the biggest transaction of ones life!).
From professional staging and photography for each listing to regular market trend reports and individualized home searches for each buyer, she makes sure that everything is taken care of, from consultation to closing. In addition, when you hire Yasmin, not only do you get the benefit of her knowledge and expertise, but also the benefit of her dedicated, hard working and enthusiastic staff. Together with Yasmin, they offer the best possible service available in the marketplace.
Yasmin currently lives in Potomac with her husband Jim McWhorter. . She loves this area and its people! Having traveled extensively throughout the world, she still feels that the Washington, DC area is one of the most beautiful and culturally diverse areas in the world, but mostly ... it's HOME!.
