Yasir Hussain Sheikh

Yasir Hussain Sheikh is a serial Entrepreneur who lives and maintains his ventures ALRUG from Lahore, Pakistan. His Spatial Intelligence startup Silk Route Interactive won the Best Startup Award from P@SHA in 2013. An ICCM 2013 & FYSE fellow, he was also selected amongst Asia's 100 most promising young entrepreneurs and the only one in Trade category at that. Yasir has worked on the planning team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (a political party) leading GIS & Data Analytics during General Elections 2013, and has been instrumental in setting up Danka to put Lahore on the cultural map of the world. He also provided development & consultancy services previously under the name PXLPRFCT.

He used to write for many mainstream English newpapers and magazines, and Lahore metblog from the very start and now maintains his political braggings at Rug Pundits every once in a while.

Besides that he loves chess, traveling, photography, movies, soccer and plays squash.
