Miss Yasmine (Yazmeen) Alexandra Arrington was born and raised in Washington, DC and spent two years in San Diego, California. She is currently a sophomore at Elon University in North Carolina majoring in History and Strategic Communications, with a minor in Human Services. Immediately after completing her undergrad degree, she plans to do a dual program of Law and Divinity. As a result of being the child of an incarcerated parent, Arrington created her own non-profit in DC, called ScholarCHIPS for Children of Incarcerated Parents, that awards scholarships to high school graduating seniors who plan to pursue a college education. In addition, Arrington is a poet, blogger, spokesperson, and plus size model.
