Yasmine Creese-Brown is a trailblazing American education engineer, innovator, and pioneer. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she is of Indo-Caribbean, Jamaican, Native American, Trinidadian, and African-American descent—a rich heritage that shaped her perspective on learning, resilience, and community. Raised by loving parents who emphasized the importance of education, Yasmine developed a deep respect for knowledge and curiosity, believing early on that learning opens doors to opportunity.

A proud alumna of American University, she holds a degree in accounting, which laid the foundation for her multifaceted career. Yasmine began in banking, where she gained core financial skills, before transitioning into hedge fund accounting. There, she deepened her expertise in financial operations, analysis, and quantitative modeling—tools that later shaped her educational work.

Her journey into education began with coaching, where she spent nearly eight years teaching hundreds of students preparing to enter Wall Street. She covered advanced topics like discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling and was known for her ability to break down complex financial concepts into clear, digestible lessons. Her educational style emphasized both clarity and confidence.

Yasmine’s creative journey began with The Juice Game, a math board game designed to make math fun and accessible for children. This effort evolved into Project Board Game, an initiative with a mission to make learning enjoyable and accessible—particularly for children in under-resourced communities. Operating under a “buy one, give one” model, the project has distributed learning tools globally to help bridge educational gaps through play.

Building on that success, she launched the STEAMS Trivia Board Game, integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies into engaging learning experiences. She engineered both the game content and a portable packaging design that made global shipping practical and cost-effective.

Her innovation led to the founding of the STEAMS Initiative, where she created the 8-Step PBLP Framework—a project-based learning model that equips educators to design interdisciplinary, community-driven lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world skills.
