Yasmin Sarwar is one of the most influential Malaysian figures in the UK education sector. Describing herself as an edupreneur, she has spent more than twenty years challenging conventional approaches to education and creating new pathways for ambitious students, built on the belief that education is the single most powerful tool a young person has to shape the course of their own life.

Her career began in 2004 with the Cardiff Centre of Excellence, a small tutorial school in Wales that she grew into Cardiff Sixth Form College. Between 2013 and 2017 the college ranked Number 1 in the Times and Daily Telegraph league tables, with A*-A grades reaching as high as 95%, and national newspapers covered its rise from unknown tutorial centre to the top of the independent school rankings.

In 2017, Yasmin Sarwar became Chief Education Officer at Oxford International College, where she introduced the Strategic Global Pathways curriculum. Results rose sharply: A*-A grades climbed from 71.4% in 2017 to over 92% by 2019, when the college took the Number 1 spot in the Times and Daily Telegraph league tables. Between 2019 and 2021, almost half of its applicants were accepted into G5 universities, and in 2021 its students received 40% of the Cambridge Medicine offers available to international applicants.

Since 2011, Yasmin Sarwar has helped more than 2,000 students gain places at Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College London and UCL, and more than 1,000 students win places at medical schools, with 100% of her students receiving Russell Group offers. She received the Pearson Teaching Award for Science Teacher of the Year in 2011 and the Welsh Asian Women Achievement Award in Business in 2015.

She is now Founder and Lead Consultant of Quantum Pathways, a global consultancy advising families across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, where she has achieved a 100% offer rate from UCL and LSE and a 100% offer rate in Medicine. Yasmin Sarwar also consults for leading schools including Wycombe Abbey Schools in Asia, CATS Cambridge and Stoke College, where she guided the college's first-ever students to Oxford and Cambridge offers.
