Passionate about the fusion of tradition and innovation in music, I, Dr. Yassir Bousselam, have devoted my life to exploring and celebrating global musical traditions. With a PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of Paris Nanterre, I focused on the transformation and cultural significance of Moroccan Andalusian music, an area of research that has been praised and recommended for publication.
My classical training includes a specialized Master’s degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and a didactic Master’s degree from the Royal Conservatory of Mons, where I studied under distinguished soloists. This foundation has allowed me to perform globally, from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Morocco to solo performances worldwide, blending improvisation and interpretation to engage audiences deeply.
Beyond performance, I contribute as an associate researcher at the CNRS in France, exploring Arab-Andalusian music and musical nationalism. Driven by music’s ability to connect cultures, I am eager to collaborate with others who share a vision of fostering unity through the arts.
