Yavanna
In the future official biographers will say it all started in 2007 but that would be innacurate. To know when it really started you should go way back, when Virginia, Letizia and Anita weren’t even born yet. It was then, when they were just souls waiting to be born, that they decided to be part of the same family and to be sisters in blood, spirit and music.
That’s how it really started, 2007 was merily the year when they choose the band's name: Yavanna (does it ring any bell? yes, it's a character in JRR Tolkien’s Silmarilion).
Pretty soon their talent was noticed and they were chosen as contestants for the italian Xfactor.
Given their strong visual image (tv labeled them as the "fairies with elf ears”) the audience had an hard time recognising them as the talented players and singers they are. The three sisters had to fight their way through the final but in the end, and against all odds, they ended up with a well deserved third place. As soon as the show’s camaras turned off the three sisters had to face an hard decision: they took their faith in their own hands and decided to go on on their own, without compromises.
It was walking down this path that they met Luca “Vicio” Vicini. Bassest of one of the main italian bands, Subsonica, Luca fell musically in love with them at first sight. He decided to take part in their project as producer, and helped them to be born again, in a new musical form: the Yavanna 2.0 came to life. Not fairy anymore (as the tv easilly targeted them) but grown up woman that explore the dark sides of their souls as well as the lighted ones.
