Yawen Chen

I'm Yawen, a digital project manger/producer from Brooklyn, New York. I grew up in the Bay Area, California in the heart of Silicon Valley, unknowingly watching Apple expand and seep into every one of our lives (Apple resides in my neighboring city of Cupertino). I graduated from University of California at Davis where I studied Psychology and where I worked at the university newspaper and community radio, which really encouraged me to get involved and participate in our local community. My first gig in New York City was working on web content for a small non-profit — and since then all my jobs have been in digital. Though currently I do lots of digital work, I try to be as involved as I can in the local scene. Things I enjoy: bicycling, photography, vegan foods, museum & art exhibits, creative networking, music/culture events. Inspiration is everywhere here and I love New York City for it!
