Yeasha Sobhan

Yeasha Sobhan is the vice chairman of Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG) and Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd., which has become one of the fastest-growing areas in the group’s portfolio. She has worked to expand the product range to include a wider selection of paper, tissue, and hygiene items. As a member of the executive team of Bangladesh’s largest business group, she has earned respect as a capable leader. Her approach centers on diversity and inclusion, and she is known for guiding decisions with empathy and clear communication.

Yeasha has led the development of eco-friendly paper solutions while managing marketing and operations across key strategic business units. These efforts have helped grow the customer base and increase revenue. In 2018, she received the Bangladesh Women Leadership Excellence Award in recognition of her strong vision and effective management.

Yeasha has faced challenges common to many women executives and has stayed focused on achieving results. Her work has supported the country’s economy by strengthening domestic production and keeping more resources within Bangladesh.

Alongside her work at Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG), she has played an essential role in Toggi Real Estate and Construction Limited and The Food Hall. At Toggi, she has overseen the development of residential and commercial projects that promote sustainability and modern design. With The Food Hall, she has established a dining brand known for high-quality experiences.

She has directed the use of advanced Effluent Treatment Plants at the paper mills to manage wastewater safely and has secured ISO 9001:2015 and FSC-CoC certifications. Her marketing efforts have built trusted brands, including Bashundhara Baby Diaper, Bashundhara Tissue, and Monalisa Sanitary Napkins. She has also supported the Bashundhara Special Children's Foundation, which raises awareness about autism and provides care and education for children with special needs. Yeasha Sobhan continues to lead with a commitment to progress and responsibility.
