I am the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of IQ4News, an online journalism organisation that produces news and analysis on Africa.

I hold a PhD in media with a thesis titled "Let the Subaltern Speak! Bringing African News Industries into the 21st Century".

IQ4News is my first real business venture, and I am devoted to making it an example of good online journalism coming out of Africa.

I am based in the UK, and manage a team of reporters in various African countries, and a developer in New Zealand.

Outside of IQ4News, I am a visiting lecturer in Journalism, PR and Media Research. I also have several years of experience in the voluntary sector in various communications roles.
