Yewande Olaopa

Hello, my name is Yewande. I’m a Consultant living in Nigeria.

I have over 25 years of professional experience in agricultural, agribusiness and rural development

With extensive work experience in the promotion of various agricultural value chains at the level of value chain actors (producers, processors, marketers, distributors and service providers).

I have close to 12 years of experience in knowledge and innovation management related to on-farm adaptive research and the linking-up of producers and processors with research institutes (on root and tuber, cereals, grains, fruits, vegetables and fish)

Over 14 years of hands-on experience in the design and implementation of training measures, including training for small scale producers, processors, women farmers, community facilitators and (female) extension workers

I have extensive experience in training measures on agronomic practices, business skills development and entrepreneurial capacities for value chain actors as well as public and private service providers.

I am experienced in strategies for the inclusion of women and youth in agricultural value chains with over 7 years working for the department “Women-in-Agriculture” of the Lagos State Agricultural Development Project.

In all, I have work experience in the public sector, international development organizations and private consulting companies.

I love to work and interact with people. I am fluent in English and the Yoruba language. I can also communicate in Pidgin English.

I enjoy travelling, photography, and reading. I also have interest in fitness, music and dancing.
