I am Yvonne Peter. I am shy by nature, don't judge my ability and what I can do because trust me; I might impress you more than you can even image. I do what I do I am in love with what I do, because let's face it fashion is my passion.

I am fashion designer, seamstress and I have obsession of high heels, because seriously speaking, it makes my cat walk sexy.

I am a Tanzania fashion designer, a seamstress, based in Dar es Salaam, and I am 22 by age. I learnt about fabrics, cuts and everything to do with fashion by myself and I create my collections with my own thinking because I have not studied in any fashion school, but I would love to. My fashion house is YhiteTee.

My brand is specifically dresses but I also do jumpsuits, jackets and suits. I create clothes for women only, woman of the age of 35 - 50 and college girls of age of 25 – 30. My collection is that which each woman or college girl fantasizes to wear . My pieces, are reflected by me, I am creative, I think out of the box, I am unique and I am obsessed by a creativity mind.

My new collection called Valley, is about a strong independent woman, who loves to live in my own imaginary fashion world, I mixed the modern fabrics with our own traditional fabrics, to come up with collection that any woman would crave to wear.

The inspiration of this collection, is from the Valleys that are found in part of Africa called the east african great rift valley, when I saw a picture of it, it inspired me a lot, because I am a person who is inspired by nature such as plants, birds, butterflies, insects, animals and fishes. hence to create a collection from it. Other inspirational sources are from dynamic buildings or statues, recycled and new cars, airplanes, stunning photos, shapes of all types, nuclear explosions.

The Valley theme is the mixer of bright colors.

My brands are couture, custom and ready to wear clothes because I tend to think for both the high end fashion and casual wear. My sense of style is the use of beads, studs, necklaces and other little things in clothes to make it pop and stand out in the crowd. My sense of style is seen through the use of plain bold or bright colors, cuts, draping, patterns, prints and use of different fabrics such as our own Tanzania traditional fabrics example vitenge and modern fabrics example chiffon.

I support Tanzania designers but the most important issue which I have always seen is, as designers, w
