Yimin Zhao

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Human Geography and Urban Studies at London School of Economics and Political Science, where I have been working since 2012. I hold a BA in Urban Management (2009) and an MSc in Urban and Regional Economics (2011), both from Peking University in Beijing, China. My research interests include (but are not limited to) place and space, state and power relations, the political economy in the urban process, and urban ethnography. I conducted my fieldwork for thesis writing in Beijing from July to December 2014, followed by a supplement field trip in July and August 2015. I am now writing my thesis which, hopefully, can be submitted by the end of this academic year.
