Yingjie Xu
Student in 香港
Hi, everyone :)
My name is Xu Yingjie. I come from Xiamen(which is also called Amoy), Fujian Province, China.
I studied Anglo-French bilingual as my major when I was an undergraduate student in Shandong University. I also have a double major which is International trade and economics.
So, I graduated with two Bachelor’s degrees.
I speak English and French as the main languages of instruction during the studies in Shandong University. I speak both Chinese(Mandarin) and Minnan dialect(it can not be understood without learning; it is commonly used in south part of Fujian province and Taiwan) in my life. I use Minnan dialect when I communicate with my family and some friends.
When I was a sophomore student, I went to the U.S. as an exchange student. At that time, I found myself an individual who is independent, willing to help others and has her own ideas. When coming back from the U.S., I fall in love in trying new things in my life. It is a great way for me to grow and learn more about myself, and I love to explore external world as well as inner world within myself: find what I really want and spare no efforts to get close to them.
I taught high school students in the field of English and Mathematics as a part-time job when I was a college student.
I would like to work in Xiamen, which is a great city to start a career in education. There are many good chances to work in this field, since people there are taking education very seriously and education is a prosperous industry in Xiamen.
I enjoy reading in my spare time, and I’d love to share interesting findings with my friends. This summer I read books written by Garcia Marquez, Higashino Keigo, William S. Maugham, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde. I think reading is a good way to learn something from these inspiring writers.
What’s more, I am a local person in Xiamen. If you want to make a trip to Xiamen, I think I can give you useful suggestions ^^
Let’s make friends. Please let me know if you have any questions about me.
