Yin Luo

Yin Luo is a Psychology major student who will be graduating from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2018.As a good researcher with abundant skills, he is super willing to take part in researches relate to social psychology. The main motivation that makes me choose to major in psychology is my curiosity to mental illnesses. When I first took abnormal psychology, I was attracted by those various mental diseases the instructor taught. I want to know them well, understand what is happening on patients, and eventually help them to get back into their normal life. During my first and second year of college, I was majoring in both computer science and psychology. My math classes provided me with alternative math skills to better understand the statistical procedures involved in data analyzing. Generally, my philosophy can be described as the following: If I am going to do something that I am passionate about, I will try my best instead of paying 50% effort.
