Hello, I'm Yiran Yu, I come from China. I'm an OSU student. I love food and life.

My top 5 StrengthsQuest strengths are Communication, Positivity, WOO, Arranger, Adaptability . For the communication ability, I think it's indeed is my strength. I am very good at communication with people, this ability give me a lot of benefits, whatever in academic life or in daily life. Since I am good at talking with people, I can ask my classmates' help when I feel confused in class, because I'm an international student that I always get struggle in lecture. And in daily life, I can make a lot of friends whenever in which places. In the first several weeks I arrived in Ohio State University, I made friends with my american roommates, chinese roommates, my RA and my classmates quickly. I think those all should thanks to my ability of communication. Additionally, this ability also help me pass two organizations' interview successfully. Therefore I think this ability is very important which may also can help me in my future career life.

After I became an Ohio State University student, my favorite Ohio tradition is singing Carmen Ohio. The reason I like Carmen Ohio is that every time I heard Carmen Ohio, I always feel inspired and feel warm. Whenever I heard the Carmen Ohio, I feel like I have the power suddenly and would have more courage to overcome challenges. Since I'm an international student, sometimes I would feel lonely. But every time I heard Carmen Ohio, I just feel all Buckeyes are family, which greatly decrease my loneliness.

Although my major is Early Child Education in OSU, my dream Job is become an English teacher to teach middle and high school students in China. Being a teacher is my dream since I was in primary school, but I think I have more passion toward to be middle and high school teacher. I just teacher is a very interesting and meaningful job, which can make me feel happy and realize my self-value at the same time.
