This summer on the 7th of June I will be participating in an event called Alpe d'HuZes. Alpe d'HuZes wants to raise funds to fight cancer by cycling up the Alpe d'Huez. The ultimate goal is to do this six times in one day.
The name, Alpe d'Huzes, is a combination of the Dutch word for "six" and the name of the French mountain.
Everyone can decide for him / herself how many times they want to climb the mountain, my aim is to do this at least 4 times.

From a very young age I was susceptible to the human pain. Maybe it can be explained from my close contact with people with incurable diseases, and prostrate people. Until recently cancer was also considered incurable.
The hope of people is concentrated that there will be a cure someday. Cancer will be fought, fought hard, and eventually be beaten. We participate in this charity because we believe in this victory over the horrible disease and we will gather enough money to fund this fight, and thus this win. We believe that one day there will be a cure, and we won't lose any more people to this battle.

I have participated in the past to a different charity, biking from London to Amsterdam, and I was really keen when I found I could participate and help raise money for KWF.I want to participate in economic, moral and human help whenever asked for all my fellow (wo)men.

100% of the funds raised go directly to KWF, The Dutch Cancer Society, which finances cancer research and information, prevention and patient support programs.
