Yolanda Matthews

Hello, My name is Yolanda "Yogi" Matthews and I am a proud graduate of Evan E. Worthing class of 1988. As of student and proud colt,I enjoyed my 4 years of attendance at EEW. Some of my extra-curricular activities included basketball,volleyball,cross country,V.I.C.A,Cosmetology,Flagette in the Marching 100 band and served as the Cosmetology Sergant at Arms.
I was raised in the Sunnyside community by my beautiful grandparents who have a very strong christian background and belief. I loved education so much out of the 4 years,I missed 1 day and was crying then because I wanted to go to school LOL(my great granny had passed) that wasnt happening:(
Nevertheless I survived and I made it. Within the last year and throughout the summer, I have attended many alumni and committee meetings to help get and keep the ball rolling at EEW. Leadership is a very important role in any organization and in order to be a leader you must first follow. Some of my characteristics are outgoing,productive,receptive,people person.
As President of this organization,my main focus and concern is the students.

Vice President of Public Relations for Evan E. Worthing Class of 1988.
Professional Beauty Ambassador for the worlds largest beauty association.
School Teacher in Public Schools
Master Educator in Private Sector
Minority Woman Business Owner
