Stephanie Giannetti
Stephanie is a card carrying native New Yorker who found yoga to be her cure-all for the daily stresses that come with juggling all that life has to offer. She began practicing yoga when she wandered into an intimate yoga studio in Pelham Bay, Bronx, NY in November 2009.
Originally expecting an exercise class, Stephanie discovered what many yoga newbies do: that yoga is so much more than a calorie burning body toner. Opening her mind and heart, she was receptive to the spiritual side of yoga as well. Stephanie learned that combining meditation with breathing and poses made her calmer, happier and healthier.
8 months into her practice, Stephanie experienced a tragic loss. After a few grief counseling sessions, she enrolled in a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Zoga Yoga (RYS 200, www.zogayoga.com). Led by the amazing Ambria Mathew, Zoga Yoga's Teacher Training not only deepened Stephanie's practice on the mat, it improved her practice off the mat and, most importantly, it healed her.
Stephanie is a certified Vinyasa yoga instructor (RYT 200) and is registers with the Yoga Alliance of America. Today, Stephanie finds herself teaching students about yoga on and off the mat, aiming to give back what yoga has given her.
Currently, Stephanie only teaches private one on one or private group classes. Stephanie was born and raised in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and currently resides in Dyker Heights.
