Yomaira Torres

I was born and raised in Worcester, MA. I'm the journalist and creator of Route 146 Press. As I began my personal destiny to become a journalist, I would use my time during the daily commutes to piece together stories I should shine a light on and make available to the public. After a couple of months, I’ve come to find out that my unique niche would be to report from both Worcester local events and Providence local events.

Initially, after graduating with a bachelor's degree in communication I worked for health insurance. Although I performed the tasks presented to me with ease I was missing the connectivity aspect communication and fell into a daily routine. After seven years I began to attend Full Sail University online for a master's degree in New Media Journalism. As a result, I've interviewed a director of a call center and communications specialist for insightful articles.
