My name is Yonette Odessa Hall-Williams (my stage name is Y.O. or Yonette Odessa). I am a Christian singer, songwriter and recording artist. Born in Guyana, South America, I migrated to the U.S.A. with my parents and four (4) siblings when I was fourteen (14) years old. My gift of singing was discovered and nurtured by my mother. As early as six years old, I was singing in church and at various events in our community with my siblings.

While working on my solo career I have been actively collaborating with other musicians and bands such as Sir Hall and Richie Righteous. Additionally, I regularly express my passion for music and the arts by directing Manifestation of his Praise, the dance group at my local church, where I am also a prominent member of the praise and worship team. As if those endeavors were not time consuming enough, I am first a devoted wife to my dear husband and mother to our four wonderful children.

As a singer/songwriter I bring a very unique musical flare to my generation. Although my roots are confidently placed in contemporary gospel, my style has been compared to several of my musical inspirations: Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams, Mandisa, and Jennifer Hudson.

This is an exciting time for me, I am currently working on my sophomore album that will be released in 2016, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear this new project
