Young Scientists for Innovationin Science and Technology(YOSISAT) was founded March23, 2019. It was born out of an idea by it's Founder and Executive Director, Archie Forpoh.

MISSION

Our organization dedicated to developing students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), specifically through education, outreach, and awareness. We seek to build a stronger bridge between Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) in high school and higher education while also increasing the impact of these fields on local, regional, national, and international levels.

VISION

To provide opportunities for students and people to be inventive andinnovative. To encourage students and young people in Liberia enter the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics( STEM) fields.To encourage STEAM activities invarious high schools across ourcountry. To Connect local professionals in the STEM Fields with students and encourage mentorship.

METHODOLOGY

Our methodology is two-fold, increasing inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity all together. First, is through partnering with community organizations and schools to directly increase the accessibility of our free workshops and resources. This includes working with libraries, drugrehabilitation centers, schools, and community centers across thecountry and the world at large. Second, is through our interdisciplinary STEMX curriculum. Young Scientists forInnovation in Science and Technology seeks to amplify the narrative that STEM is a force for social good in its intersection with other fields through focuses such as STEMXPoliticalScience, Entrepreneurship, Sports, Fashion,and more.

IMPACT

Young Scientists for Innovation in Science and Technology functions across 6 regions in 2 counties.Over the course of 5+ events, workshops, and camps, Young Scientists for Innovation in Science and Technology has impacted over 150 minority youths across the Liberia and the global.
