You Are Not Alone Project (YANA) is a nonprofit organization committed to shifting the culture of how men relate to and treat women by confronting violence, teaching respect, and supporting healing through education and community engagement. Founded by Devin A. Giordano and Dhoruba Shuaib, who witnessed firsthand the absence of meaningful prevention work inside prisons, YANA focuses on reaching men where it matters most—before harm is repeated. Through initiatives like Breaking the Cycle: Understanding and Preventing Violence Against Women, YANA creates space for accountability, reflection, and change, with the goal of building safer communities both inside and beyond prison walls.
