Youlia Miteva founded Proxima Capital Management, LLC, where she currently serves as portfolio manager and managing member, in 2004. An investment advisor registered with Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm’s strategy is focused on US and European special situation equities. Immediately before establishing Proxima, Youlia Miteva worked as an analyst at Stonehill Investment Corporation. She started her career in financial services at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.
Youlia Miteva attended secondary school at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy. Subsequently she attended the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated summa cum laude from the dual degree Management and Technology program, obtaining a bachelor of applied science in systems engineering and a bachelor of economics in finance and management.
