Young Bang

Sf Bay Area, Ca

Designer who seeks to humanize experiences.

Young is interested in learning the most about the world around her. After a degree in Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley, she decided to take a different career path that better fulfilled her varied interests. She pursued a degree in Industrial Design. For 5 years, she worked as designer and researcher at the design consultancy, RKS Design, where she helped companies better understand their users. Projects ranged from electronics, consumer packaged goods, medical devices, pharmaceutical experiences to service concepts.

Upon moving back to the Bay Area, she worked for Montaag design for over a year and a half. Here, she led research and worked on improving digital user experiences.

Since leaving Montaag, she is focusing on building her own life experiences. She travelled to Japan where she stayed at a ceramics studio for a month learning about life in semi-rural Japan and practicing an old hobby.

In addition to continuing her ceramics hobby, she is now working to expand her skills in digital design while working on her portfolio. First project: designing and programming a weather app. Stay tuned!
