If I have learned one thing in life, it is that comfort is overrated. The only thing in life that holds me back is my instinctive preference to staying in my comfort zone. Having identified this tendency, I strive to push myself outside of my comfort zone in every pursuit that I undertake.
JMU strive to ingrain a mindset in its students that we can be and are instruments of change. After going on an alternative spring break trip to Costa Rica where I experienced a profound shift in the way I view the world.
