Hey, my name is Michael Young and I'm a senior at Troy High School. With me in my picture is my English teacher from last year Mrs. Parks. English has always been one of my favorite subjects although I have a lot of trouble with essay writing.

So why do I like English although I struggle with it? Because English makes me think the most introspectively and I feel like at the end of each year I understand a little more about life and myself. Something that has always stuck with me was a Poetry project, that sent us out to find a poem, any poem, that spoke to us.

The reason I bring this up is because The Road Not Taken, has been a poem that still lingers in the back of my mind, and I feel like changed my way of thinking throughout my life.

When I began schooling I always thought I was gonna be an Engineer. It was what both my parents had done and my grandparents. From birth, I was naturally inclined to math, and took a liking to computers so naturally I believed that my only option was to become an Engineer

Then when my sister graduated from Troy High, she chose to go into Business instead of Engineering like my parents wished for. This was a shock to everyone and got me thinking, what other options do I have that I can take. I began searching for my Road Not Taken.

For a while I was searching for a new road, until I took Marketing and joined DECA. Doing Entrepreneurship opened my eyes to new 21st century ideas for my future and what else I can do.

Ever since finding this Road, although its more difficult and more "downtrodden", I'm truly excited to walk it and don't wanna look back.
